Files missing on the blog

I have just finished upgrading WordPress to version 2.9, and after that was done I deleted the backup directory with the older version of the blog, or I thought so at least. I instead managed to delete the entire newly configured WordPress, and about half of the backup (database not touched)... I managed to save [...]
